Yoga Teacher - Claire Donovan
I believe in every miraculous breathing technique, filling our bodies with goodness and energy, calming the mind, ridding us of stress and anxieties.
I have crafted my own unique practice bringing in the gifts of the land and the Heavens. The wheel of the year following each season each empowering Goddess and her magical morgens. Crystals, moon ceremonies, equinoxes and solstice, spiritual meditations and wild occasional dance.
My Shamanic practice plays a large part in my Yoga, bringing in my true heart, my absolute love of nature in all her glory, empowering, nurturing and energising.
Being out on the land always made my heart sing, I listened to the earth, I heard her whispering, I heard the voices in the waves at the beach, I talked to the stones the trees and the animals. I saw colours around plants around everything. And I loved the stars and the beautiful moon in it’s every shape and size.
Watching people walk away as a new person, a free soul is rewarding beyond joy.
Yoga Teacher - Mahesh Hayward
Mahesh’s approach to “Yoga” is a Hatha practice, which feels like a moving meditation.
Inviting the participants to fully be aware of the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection.
“Yoga is everything, it’s how we talk, eat, sleep, rest and play”
Mahesh enjoys putting a beautiful playlist together each week, to help everyone feel into the atmosphere of the wonderful studio space. Step onto the Mat, become aware of the breath and let the body flow freely into the guided postures.
This session is for everyone, it’s about “You” how you breathe, move and show up each week…….
Come and join the group, learn to listen to your body and even enjoy taking time for yourself!
Pilates Instructor - Yassamin
My passion for Pilates started with my very first lesson in 1996. The philosophy made sense to me and the movements felt right in my body. I started training with Body Control Pilates and qualified in 1998 as one of the first teachers in Dorset.
My evolution as a teacher and the prevalence of low back pain led me to take a higher qualification to become a Specialist Practitioner in low back pain in 2013. I then became aware of the importance of bone health and how this deteriorates as part of the ageing process. I qualified as an instructor of Exercise for Bone Health in 2016.
I discovered the Garuda technique in 2012 and trained as a Garuda Matwork instructor. Then, in 2019, I was introduced to the Foundation Training method of functional exercise and trained as a Foundation instructor.
My classes have evolved as I have continued to learn and they are now an eclectic mix of all the training I have undertaken over the years. I remain passionate about my chosen profession and feel privileged to have taught many of my clients for over 20 years. My focus is on functional exercise that helps to promote postural improvement and ease of movement for daily living.
If you are interested in mindful exercise for your Merkabah Retreat, then please contact me, we can discuss a gentle breath and stretch focussed session or a more intense class.
