Winter Solstice Bonfire Ceremony ~ 21st December

£10.00

Starts at 5pm

Winter Solstice, the longest night and the shortest day. This is the night we welcome back the light by lighting fire.

On this darkest night of the year it is time to delve into the shadows within and sit with the darkness, the silence of the soul.

The ancient Goddess Danu, bone woman, shell woman, she who brings the death of the land. The nakedness of the trees, bare branches and brittle twigs. The life force asleep deep within the land, awaiting the spark of light to begin the journey into spring.

She brings the silence of the snow, she points her bony fleshless fingers to the year ahead.

Tyronoe Morgan, wild woman of the winds and snow, the winter mists and frosty magic, allowing you to observe your inner reflection in her frozen lakes.

It is darkest before the dawn.

Winter Solstice, brings the beginning of the light the promise of lighter days ahead for this is the darkest it gets.

To celebrate the return of the sun we light the fires of hope upon the land.
We dance, we drum, we sing, we bring new hope.

Come and join me for this ancient celebration of darkness and light.
